What procedures are offered at shofner vision center?

Shofner Vision Center offers comprehensive high quality eye care focusing on the following: General Ophthalmology, LASIK/PRK vision correction surgery, Cataract Vision Correction, Diabetic Screenings, Contacts and Glasses, Keratoconus, Glaucoma Treatment, Dry Eye, BOTOX®, Eyelid Surgery (blepharoplasty) and comprehensive exams for Children Ages 10 & up.

Are procedures performed at your office?

LASIK and laser eye surgeries are performed at our office located 2004 Hayes Street. Cataract removal surgeries are sometimes performed at a remote surgical center. Aesthetic procedures such as BOTOX® and blepharoplasty (upper eyelid surgery) are performed at Shofner Vision Center.

Do you offer pediatric vision care?

We offer comprehensive eye exams and treat children ages 10 and older.

How soon do I need to arrive for my procedure?

After your eye exam and consultation, a Shofner staff member will provide you with specific information about what to expect your day of surgery, how soon to arrive, and post-surgery follow-up care.

Is Procedure covered by Insurance?

We accept most all insurance coverage including Tri-Care and Workers Comp. Please review our FAQ Insurance section or contact our office at (615) 340-4733 or your insurance provider for specific coverage questions.

What payment do you accept?

We accept most insurances including Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial and Work-Comp carriers. Please call us if you have a question about an insurance company. We accept cash, checks, and major credit cards.

We also accept Care Credit.

Do you offer 0% financing for lasik surgery?

What is carecredit?

Care Credit is the credit card exclusively for healthcare services. Care Credit offers monthly payment options for healthcare procedures not commonly covered by insurance, including LASIK and Premium-IOLs. Don't put off improving your vision.

What payment do you accept?

Do you accept workman's comp?

Yes, we accept Worker's Compensation. Please contact our office at (615) 340-4733 to schedule your appointment.

General Questions

Where are you located?

We’re located at in the middle of downtown Nashville at 2004 Hayes Street; on the corner of 21st and Hayes Street, across from Krispy Kreme Doughnuts.

Where do I park?

St. Thomas St. Thomas Midtown Medical Plaza offers parking covered parking garage (free) and complimentary valet service at the turnaround on Hayes Street.

What if I need to cancel my appointment?

We try to keep a respectable schedule so that each patient has sufficient time for an examination, consultation and to answer any questions. We understand emergencies may come up, if you need to cancel your appointment, please contact our office at (615) 340-4733 or email us and we will be happy to reschedule your appointment.
